Menninger Pocket Park

Topeka, Kansas

The Menninger project was installed on the 9th of May, 2023 commemorating the family’s tireless commitment to the field of mental health with specific focus on the expansion of awareness, treatment, access to and diversity of services available.

This park consists of a life size sculpture of Charles Frederick Menninger, busts of his sons, Karl and William, as well as his grandchildren, Walter and Roy. It also includes a double-sided 32 inch circular tablet featuring a 16 inch scale replica of the Menninger tower located in Topeka opposite the family’s history of achievements on the back, created by Courtney Skeeba.

Teresa Cuevas

The Teresa Cuevas memorial project was commissioned by the Cuevas family and Downtown Topeka, Inc in 2021 to commemorate Teresa’s contributions to the world of Mariachi by highlighting her talents, strength and perseverance as the founding director of the first all female Mariachi group, Mariachi Estrella.

The project was created over a 2 year period in collaboration with my daughter, Courtney Skeeba.

This life size statue of Teresa was installed and dedicated on the 5th of May, 2023 and can be viewed at 6th and Kansas Avenue in Topeka, Kansas at the Evergy Park Plaza
